The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the KCET 2025 counselling schedule, and option entry has now begun on the official portal: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
Following the announcement of KCET results in May, the counselling process kicked off in July. Qualified candidates can log in to the KEA portal to select and prioritize their preferred colleges and courses. The final seat matrix has also been released, detailing over 77,000 engineering and 3,350 agriculture seats available in Round 1.
Documents Required for KCET 2025 Counselling
Make sure to have the following documents ready:
- SSLC / Class 10 Marksheet
- 2nd PUC / Class 12 Marksheet
- Study Certificate (signed by BEO/DDPI)
- Two passport-size photographs
- KCET 2025 Application Form & Admit Card (printout)
- Proof of Fee Payment (Receipt/Challan)
- Caste or Caste Income Certificate (if applicable)
- Kannada Medium Certificate (if applicable)
- Income Certificate (if required)
- Rural Study Certificate (for rural quota)
- Parent-related Documents: Proof of Study, Domicile, Employment, or Hometown (for government quota)
- Affidavit for Horanadu/Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates (Eligibility Clauses C & D)
How to Apply for KCET 2025 Counselling: Step-by-Step
- Visit KEA’s official website: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea
- Click on the KCET 2025 application link on the homepage
- Register/Login using your credentials
- Fill in the application form: Enter personal, academic, and contact details
- Upload required documents like photo and signature
- Pay the counselling fee as directed
- Download and print the final application form for future use
Candidates were given time to edit their applications and download verification slips, which are mandatory to participate in the counselling process. The provisional seat matrix was released earlier to help candidates make informed decisions before entering their preferences.
KCET 2025 Counselling Rounds
- There will be three main rounds of counselling
- An extended round will be conducted if seats remain vacant
- Mock seat allotment and final allotment are expected in August
- Reporting to allotted colleges is scheduled for September
- A second extended round may be held in October, if needed
